Samsung Galaxy S II Plus Review

See other variants reviews Score: 61.2 / 100

Samsung Galaxy S II Plus is a solid Android phone launched in 2013, packing a medium 4.3 inches capacitive touch-screen, a powerful 1200 megahertz Dual-Core CPU, an 8 MP back camera and a 2 MP front-facing camera.

Samsung ships this cellphone with a fast 1200 MHz Dual-Core processor, packed into the Broadcom BCM28155 system chip and 1 GB of RAM. This phone counts with an 8 GB quite large internal storage and an external memory card slot, which allows you to install a couple hundred applications without any trouble.

This cellphone is just 0.33" thick, making it one of the thinnest cellphones in the market. The S II Plus is quite a compact phone, given that it packs a 4.3 inches screen and it is just 4.93 inches long and 2.6" wide. This phone feels much lighter than what you expect from a cellphone like this.

This device features two cameras, an 8 mega-pixels back-facing camera and a 2 megapixels front facing camera. It is also able to shoot videos in 1920x1080 (Full HD) at 30 frames per second. In addition, the camera includes a couple of good characteristics like auto-focus, flash and geo tagging.

Samsung designed this phone with a very good 4.3" display, and a resolution of 800 x 480 , which makes all pictures and videos look very good. Its display uses Super AMOLED Plus capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch gestures.

This cellphone uses a good 1650 mAh Li-Ion battery that can keep this phone running for some hours, although you will probably need to charge it even after moderate usage. This device has a reported talk time of 16 hs and a stand by time of 350 hs.

This device features Wi-Fi capability (which it can provide to other devices around, acting as a mobile hotspot), HSPA+ 4G connection type, which is not as fast as LTE networks and the fastest 3G connectivity, supported by HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This cellphone works with a SIM card for GSM connection.

This phone also comes with a handful of useful features like NFC, Bluetooth (3.0) and GPS (Global Positioning System), and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

This phone is not a good choice considering it costs 249 dollars, while other similar cellphones are a lot cheaper than that. This phone is probably a very good choice for you if you want it majorly for social networks and internet browsing, are looking for a phone for gaming, want this cellphone for work or want this phone to take many photos.
