American (1504)     See other variants reviews Score: 51.5 / 100

Sony Xperia E is a bit outdated Android cellphone launched in December 2012, packed with a medium 3.5" screen, a 3.2 mega-pixels back camera and a good performance CPU speeding at 1 GHz.

Sony appears to have forgotten about weight optimization in this 4.08 oz phone. The Sony Xperia E is offerred in 3 different colors, black, pink and white. This cellphone is thin, although it's not so thin as many other cellphones currently available, with a thickness of 0.43".

Sony ships this device with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 MSM7227A system chip, backed up by a fast 1000 megahertz CPU and 512 MB of RAM. Graphic calculations generally consume lots of processing power, so this phone also has an additional 200 MHz Adreno 200 (enhanced) graphics processing unit to take care of them, leaving the processor free for other tasks. This phone has a 4 GB internal storage memory, a common quantity that should be enough having that it also has an SD memory slot to store songs, photos and videos and even some apps and games that allow being installed in the external memory.

The Sony Xperia E includes an average 480 x 320 3.5" screen, which makes everything look quite good. This screen uses TFT capacitive technology, and has multi-touch detection.

This phone offers WiFi connection (and it can be shared with other devices around, acting as a modem) and 3G fast connection type, supported by HSDPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This cellphone uses a SIM card to connect to GSM networks.

The Sony Xperia E is equipped with only a 3.2 MP back camera. This cellphone also films videos in 640x480 (VGA). In addition, this cellphone's camera also includes geo tagging and auto-focus.

This phone also includes some useful characteristics as Bluetooth (2.1, EDR) and GPS Geolocation, and a few sensors likeProximity Sensor and Accelerometer.

The Sony Xperia E counts with a medium capacity 1500 mAh Li-Ion battery that provides this cellphone a poor battery durationcompared to other devices. According to Sony, this phone has a reported 6.2 hs talk time and a 530 hs stand by time.

Sony is selling this phone for $ 300, which is not cheap for comparing with similar cellphones.
