Sony Xperia SP Review

Sony Xperia SP is a high-end cellphone launched back in the year 2013, counting with a 4.6 inches touch-screen, a very powerful Dual-Core CPU ticking at 1.7 GHz, an 8 megapixels back-facing camera and a 0.3 mega-pixels front facing camera. That's everything we have to say? Not at all, it's only the beginning of this extreme review.

Sony decided to power this cellphone using a very fast 1.7 gigahertz Dual-Core processor, packed into a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro MSM8960T system chip with only 1 GB RAM memory which is a little bit poor comparing with its awesome processor. Graphic rendering often consume a lot of processor time, so the Sony Xperia SP also uses an Adreno 320 GPU running at 400 MHz to help handle those graphic tasks. A good aspect of this phone is its quite large 8 GB internal storage and a slot for an external memory card, enough to install hundreds of games and apps without any trouble.

It appears that Sony decided not to care so much about the weight in this 5.47 oz cellphone. This device is a compact phone, given that it presents a 4.6 inches screen and it is just 5.14 inches long and 2.64 inches wide. This device also includes a few cool features as NFC (to trigger actions, transfer data or make payments by holding your device close to another NFC device or tag), Bluetooth and GPS Navigation, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

The Sony Xperia SP is not cheap at all considering it is offerred for 185 dollars, while many similar phones are being sold for much less than that.
