T-Mobile forgot about weight optimization in this 6.35 ounces cellphone, much heavier than other similar phones. The T-Mobile G2 is a bit thick compared to nowadays phones, being as thick as 0.56".
T-Mobile designed this cellphone with a good level 3.7-inches display, and a resolution of 800 x 480 , making everything look very good. This display uses TFT capacitive technology, and can detect multiple fingers at the same time.
T-Mobile decided to design the T-Mobile G2 using a Qualcomm Snapdragon S2 MSM7230 system chip, including a fast processing unit running at 800 MHz with 512 MB of RAM memory. This cellphone has a 4 GB internal storage memory, a fair quantity that should be fine for the average user considering this phone also has a slot for an external memory card .
This cellphone only has a 5 mega-pixels back-facing camera. It is also able to film videos in 1280x720 (HD). This cellphone also counts with flash and auto-focus.
This phone counts with wifi connection (although it can't be shared with other devices acting as a wireless router) and 3G fast connection type, using HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This device uses a SIM card for GSM services.
The T-Mobile G2 also features a couple cool characteristics as Bluetooth (2.1, EDR) and GPS, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.
The T-Mobile G2 comes with a mid sized 1300 mAh Li-Ion replaceable battery that can keep it running for many hours, although you will need to charge it if you use it heavily. This cellphone has an aproximate 430 hs stand by time and a 9.8 hours talk time.
This device is really overvalued considering it is offerred for 200 dollars, and other similar phones cost a lot less than that.
