ZTE Speed Review

ZTE Speed is a pretty good device, which counts with an extremely powerful 1.2 GHz Quad-Core 64-bits processing unit, a medium sized 4.5-inches multi touch display, a 5 megapixels back-facing camera and a 2 MP front-facing camera.

This cellphone ships with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 8916 chip, which holds a very fast 1.2 gigahertz Quad-Core 64-bit processor with only 1 GB of RAM memory which is a little bit disappointing comparing with its powerful CPU. Graphic calculations generally consume a lot of processing time, so it uses an extra Adreno 306 graphics processing unit working at 450 MHz to help the CPU with those tasks. The ZTE Speed comes with anice 8 GB internal storage memory and an external SD slot, allowing you to install a couple hundred applications without any problem.

The ZTE Speed is available only in black color. The ZTE Speed's thickness of 0.4" is quite far from current standards, but it still feels fine in the hand. The ZTE Speed is much lighter than what one would expect from a phone of this size.

This phone is equipped with two cameras, a 5 MP back camera and a 2 megapixels front side camera. It can also shoot HD 1280x720 videos. Additionally, the camera counts with some good characteristics: auto-focus, flash, face detection shooting and geo tagging.

This phone includes a good looking 960 x 540 4.5-inches display, which makes everything look great. Its display uses LCD capacitive technology, and is multi-touch enabled.

The ZTE Speed has a 2000 mAh medium Li-Polymer non-removable battery, which is quite low for a cellphone like this. An important issue to take into account is that this phone's battery isn't replaceable so you can't change it when it begins to have trouble holding its charge, having to buy a new cellphone to "solve it".

This phone counts with wi-fi connectivity (which can be provided to other devices around, as a mobile hotspot) and 4G LTE fast internet connection. The ZTE Speed doesn't have a SIM card, because it isn't a GSM enabled phone and it can connect to CDMA networks.

This phone also comes with a couple nice features as Bluetooth (4.0), GPS and FM Radio, and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

ZTE is selling this phone for 2839 dollars, which is a very high price for comparing with other similar devices.
