Asus VivoTab RT Review

3G Only 32 GB     See other variants reviews Score: 59.6 / 100

Asus VivoTab RT is an interesting tablet launched in June 2012, which counts with a great 1.3 gigahertz Quad-Core CPU, a large 10.1 inches multi-touch screen, and two cameras, an 8 MP back camera and a 2 mega-pixels front camera. Let's take a deeper sight of what this device offers to us.

Asus did a very nice job making the Asus VivoTab RT weight only 18.87 ounces. The Asus VivoTab RT has an inspired design, with a thickness of just 0.33 inches. The Asus VivoTab RT is a compact device, taking into account that it features a 10.1" display and it is only 10.33 inches long and 6.73 inches wide.

Asus equipped the Asus VivoTab RT with a good level 10.1" screen, and a resolution of 768 x 1366 , which makes all photos and movies look nice. Its screen uses Super IPS+ LCD capacitive technology, and has multi-touch detection.

Asus decided to build this portable tablet with a very fast 1.3 gigahertz Quad-Core processing unit, packed into a NVIDIA Tegra 3 T30 chip with a large 2 GB of RAM memory. A great point of this device is its 32 GB inmense internal storage memory and a slot for an SD memory card, more than enough to store hundreds of applications without having to worry about running out of space at all.

This device is equipped with two cameras, an 8 MP back camera and a 2 mega-pixels front-facing camera. It can also shoot 1920x1080 Full HD videos. Additionally, this device's camera also features a couple of useful characteristics like flash, auto-focus and geo tagging.

The Asus VivoTab RT provides Wi-Fi capability (although it can't share it with other devices as a mobile hotspot), LTE (4G) fast connectivity and also HSPA+ connectivity, a lower speed 4G variation and the fastest 3G connection type, over HSDPA, HSPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This tablet works with a SIM card for GSM carriers.

This tablet also comes with a couple interesting characteristics as Near Field Communication (NFC), Bluetooth (4.0) and GPS Navigation, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

Asus sells this tablet for $ 160, which is very expensive for a tablet this level. No matter whether you are looking for a tablet to mainly use social networks or will use it for playing games, you will definitely be very happy with it.
