Acer Allegro Review

Acer Allegro is a mid-end cellphone, which features a fast CPU running at 1 GHz, a 5 MP back facing camera and a medium sized 3.6-inches screen. Let's take a better view of what this cellphone can do.

Acer appears to have forgotten about weight optimization in this 4.44 oz cellphone. This phone is a bit thick compared to nowadays cellphones, with its 0.51 inches thickness.

Acer decided to build this phone with a great performance 1 gigahertz CPU, included in the Qualcomm Snapdragon S2 MSM8255 chip and 512 MB RAM memory. To collaborate with graphic calculations, this phone also uses a 245 MHz Adreno 205 GPU. The Acer Allegro comes with a quite large 8 GB internal storage and although it doesn't have a slot for external memory cards, it should be enough to install hundreds of applications, but it might not be suitable if you are fan of the heaviest games currently available or taking tons of photos and videos.

This device only has a 5 mega-pixels back camera. This cellphone also counts with flash and auto-focus.

The Acer Allegro is equipped with a interesting 800 x 480 3.6" screen, which makes it hard to distinguish the pixels composing the screen.

This cellphone counts with a medium capacity 1300 mAh Li-Ion removable battery that can keep it running for many hours, although you will probably need to charge it even after moderate use.

The Acer Allegro offers wi-fi connection (although it can't provide it to other devices around, acting as a wireless modem) and 3G fast internet connection, supported by HSPA technologies. This phone works with a SIM card for GSM networks.

This phone also includes some useful features such as Bluetooth (2.1, EDR) and GPS (Global Positioning System), and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

This cellphone is not very cheap considering it is sold for $ 129, and many similar cellphones cost much less than that.
