BlackBerry Z30 Review

BlackBerry Z30 is a high-level BlackBerry phone launched in 2013, having a good size 5 inches capacitive screen, an extremely powerful 1.7 GHz Dual-Core processor, an 8 mega-pixels back-facing camera and a 2 MP front facing camera. Let's take a deeper view of what this cellphone can do.

Blackberry appears to have forgotten about weight optimization in this 6 oz cellphone. The BlackBerry Z30 only has 5.53 inches long and 2.83" wide, but it is still able to fit a a 5 inches screen. The BlackBerry Z30 is extremely thin and practical, being just 0.37" thick.

The BlackBerry Z30 includes a very good 1280 x 720 (HD) 5-inches display, making everything look very nice. Its display uses Super AMOLED capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch gestures.

This phone is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8960T Pro system chip, which holds a very powerful 1.7 GHz Dual-Core processing unit and a huge 2 GB of RAM memory. Graphic calculations generally uses lots of processing power, so this device also also has an Adreno 320 GPU running at 400 megahertz to take some work out of the CPU. A nice advantage of this device is its big 16 GB internal memory and an SD card slot, enough to store hundreds of applications without any problem.

This phone offers Wi-Fi connection (and it can provide it to other devices as a mobile hotspot), LTE 4G high speed connectivity and 3G fast connection type, using HSPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This cellphone works with a Micro SIM card for GSM connection.

The BlackBerry Z30 is equipped with two cameras, an 8 mega-pixels back side camera and a 2 mega-pixels front camera. It also shoots Full HD 1920x1080 videos at 30 frames per second. To complete the camera, it also features a couple of nice characteristics like auto-focus, flash and digital image stabilization.

The BlackBerry Z30 also features a couple cool features like NFC (to trigger actions, transfer data or make payments by holding your device close to another NFC device or tag), Bluetooth (enables communication with other devices, computers, and accessories) and GPS (Global Positioning System), and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

The BlackBerry Z30 features a 2880 mAh massive non-removable battery that provides this phone an incredibly long battery duration. This phone has a reported 18 hours talk time and a 384 hs stand by time. An issue to evaluate is that this phone's battery is not removable so you can't buy a new battery when it begins to live shorter, even though with such a big battery you will probably replace this cellphone before it becomes a real problem.

Blackberry offers this phone for 215 dollars, which is not a really offer for comparing with similar cellphones. This device is the right choice for you no matter if you will use it as a gaming phone, want a social device, are a photography fan or want this phone for work.
