BLU Dash 4.0 is a decently made phone, provisioned with a 4 inches multi-touch screen, a powerful Dual-Core CPU clocking at 1.3 gigahertz, a 5 megapixels back camera and a 0.3 MP front-facing camera.
BLU offers this device in 2 color options, black and white. BLU didn't seem to put much effort to reduce weight in this 4.73 oz cellphone. This phone's thickness , 0.46 inches, is a little bit far from current standards, but it still feels quite comfortable in the hand.
The BLU Dash 4.0 is equipped with a nice 800 x 480 4-inches display, providing this phone with a very good graphical experience. Its display uses TFT capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch gestures.
BLU ships this phone with a fast Dual-Core processor ticking at 1300 megahertz with 512 MB RAM. To help with graphic calculations, it also uses an ARM Mali-400 MP1 graphics processing unit ticking at 320 MHz. This device comes with a 4 GB internal memory, a passable quantity that should be having that this cellphone also has an SD card slot .
This cellphone has two cameras, a 5 MP back-facing camera and a 0.3 MP front camera. It can also capture 1280x720 HD videos at 30 frames per second. In addition, this phone's camera also includes a few nice features: face detection shooting, flash and geo tagging.
This phone comes with a medium sized 1500 mAh removable battery that can keep it running for some hours, although you will find yourself looking for a place to charge it even after moderate usage. According to BLU, this phone has an estimated 4 hours talk time and a 180 hours stand by time.
The BLU Dash 4.0 has wifi connectivity (but it can't be shared with other devices around, acting as a wireless router), HSPA+ (4G) connection type, which is not so fast as LTE-A or LTE networks and 3G fast connection type, using HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This device doesn't have a sim card, because it doesn't support GSM networks.
This device also features a few interesting characteristics as Bluetooth (4.0) and GPS Geolocation, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.
BLU sells the BLU Dash 4.0 for 165 dollars, which is a very high price for a cellphone this level.
