Score: 52.5 / 100Pantech Perception is a decently made Android device launched in 2013, counting with a powerful 1.5 GHz Dual-Core CPU, a 4.8-inches multi touch screen, an 8 megapixels back-facing camera and a 2 megapixels front facing camera. Great! That's it? No, it's only the tip of the iceberg.
Pantech decided to design this cellphone using a fast 1500 MHz Dual-Core processor, included in a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 chip and 1 GB RAM. A nice feature of this cellphone is the 16 GB quite big internal storage memory and an SD extension slot, enough to store a couple hundred applications without any trouble.
Pantech has made a very good design job making this phone as lightweight as 4.83 oz. The Pantech Perception is only 5.23" long, but it is able to fit a a 4.8" display. This cellphone is very thin and good-looking, being just 0.35" thick.
This device features two cameras, an 8 MP back facing camera and a 2 mega-pixels front-facing camera. It also films videos in 1920x1080 (Full HD). To complete the camera, it also features flash and auto-focus.
This phone is equipped with a high-tech 1280 x 720 (HD) 4.8-inches screen, providing this device with a unique image quality. Its screen uses Super AMOLED capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch gestures.
The Pantech Perception provides wi-fi connection (which can be provided to other devices around, acting as a mobile hotspot), LTE (4G) fast data connection and 3G fast data connection, over HSPA, UMTS, EV-DO A and EDGE technologies. The Pantech Perception works with a SIM card for GSM networks and it can connect to both CDMA and GSM carriers.
This cellphone has a 2020 mAh big capacity Li-Ion battery that would have been good if this phone wasn't so energy demanding.
This phone also includes a couple of useful features as Near Field Communication (NFC), Bluetooth (provides communication with other cellphones, computers and accessories) and GPS Localization, and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.
This device is priced around $ 140, a really high price for a device this level.
