BLU Neo 4.5 Review

BLU Neo 4.5 is a mid-to-low level Android phone, with a 4.5" multi-touch capacitive display, an extremely powerful Dual-Core processing unit speeding at 1300 MHz, a 3.2 MP back camera and a 0.3 mega-pixels front-facing camera. Let's take a deeper view of what this cellphone offers to us.

BLU decided to build this cellphone using a very powerful 1.3 GHz Dual-Core processor and only 512 MB of RAM memory which is a little bit poor for a phone of this level. Graphic intensive tasks generally consume lots of processing time, so this phone uses an extra 500 megahertz ARM Mali-400 GPU to unload the CPU. This cellphone has a passable 4 GB internal memory, which is quite good knowing that it also has an SD extension slot .

This cellphone is quite thin and practical, whereas it's not close to being one of the thinnest cellphones out there, with a thickness of 0.41 inches. BLU appears to have forgotten about weight optimization in this 4.76 oz device. This cellphone is offerred in two colors, black and white.

The BLU Neo 4.5 is equipped with two cameras, a 3.2 mega-pixels back-facing camera and a 0.3 mega-pixels front facing camera. It is capable of capturing videos in 1280x720 (HD) at 30 fps. Additionally, the camera includes a few interesting features: face detection shooting, flash and geo tagging.

BLU packed the BLU Neo 4.5 with a good looking 4.5 inches screen, and a resolution of 854 x 480 , giving this phone a very nice graphic quality. Its screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and can detect multiple fingers at the same time.

The BLU Neo 4.5 has Wi-Fi connectivity (and it can share it with other devices acting as a wireless router or modem), 4G HSPA+ internet connection, which is not as fast as LTE-A or LTE networks and 3G fast connection type, using HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This cellphone supports dual SIM to be able to to work with two different carriers or phone lines.

This cellphone also includes some nice features like Bluetooth (4.0), GPS Localization and Radio, and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

This cellphone comes with a medium capacity 1800 mAh Li-Ion replaceable battery providing this cellphone with a not very long battery life. BLU reports a 900 hours stand by time and a 22 hs talk time for this cellphone.

This cellphone costs around 249 dollars, which is not a really offer for this kind of cellphone.
