BLU Quattro 4.5 is a decently made cellphone, packing a 4.5 inches multi touch display, an extremely powerful 1.5 gigahertz Quad-Core processing unit, and 2 cameras, a 5 mega-pixels back-facing camera and a 0.3 mega-pixels front facing camera. We will get a better understanding of this phone's specs when we get into more details.
BLU decided to build this phone with a high performance 1.5 gigahertz Quad-Core processor, bundled in the Nvidia Tegra 3 chip with only 1 GB RAM which is a bit low comparing with this cellphone's great CPU. The BLU Quattro 4.5 comes with a passable 4 GB internal storage, which is quite good knowing that it also has a slot for SD memory cards to store photographs and videos.
This device doesn't feel very lightweight comparing with today standards, weighting 5.11 oz. BLU just offers this phone in color black. Though this cellphone is very thin it's not even close to being one of the thinnest cellphones nowadays, with a thickness of 0.43 inches.
This phone features two cameras, a 5 MP back camera and a 0.3 megapixels front camera. The BLU Quattro 4.5 can also shoot Full HD 1920x1080 videos at 30 frames per second. This camera also has flash.
This cellphone includes a very good 960 x 540 4.5-inches display, providing this device with a good image quality. This display uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.
This cellphone packs a 1800 mAh medium sized Li-Ion removable battery providing this phone with a below average battery duration. BLU reports a talk time of 16 hs and a stand by time of 750 hours for this phone.
The BLU Quattro 4.5 counts with WiFi connectivity (and it can be provided to other devices as a mobile hotspot), 4G HSPA+ data connection, that is not as fast as LTE or LTE-A 4G networks and 3G fast internet connection, using HSDPA, HSUPA and EDGE technologies. The BLU Quattro 4.5 uses a SIM card for GSM connection.
This phone also features some useful characteristics like Bluetooth (4.0) and GPS Navigation, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.
The BLU Quattro 4.5 is not very convinient considering it is priced $ 249, while some similar cellphones cost a lot less than that.
