Celkon A40 Review

Celkon A40 is a mid-end Android device, packing a 5 megapixels back camera, a good performance Dual-Core processing unit speeding at 1300 megahertz and a 4 inches multi touch capacitive screen.

Celkon decided to equip this cellphone using a fast 1300 megahertz Dual-Core processing unit with 512 MB RAM. The Celkon A40 counts with a passable 4 GB internal storage, which is fine considering that this phone also has a slot for external memory cards to store photos and videos.

Though this cellphone is slim it's not as slim as many other cellphones you can find, with a thickness of 0.43". Apparently Celkon decided not to care much about the weight in this 4.46 oz device. This cellphone is available in 3 colors, yellow, blue and white.

Celkon designed this device with a good level 4 inches screen, and a resolution of 800 x 480 , which makes everything look colorful and brightful. Its screen uses TFT capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.

The Celkon A40 is only equipped with a 5 megapixels back-facing camera.

The Celkon A40 features wi-fi connectivity (which it can provide to other devices as a mobile hotspot) and 3G data connection, supported by UMTS and EDGE technologies. This phone supports dual sim so it can to use two different phone lines at the same time.

This phone also features a couple of nice characteristics like Bluetooth, GPS (Global Positioning System) and FM Radio, and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

This phone comes with a 1500 mAh medium Li-Ion battery providing the Celkon A40 with a quite short battery duration.

Celkon is offering this cellphone for 155 dollars, which is high for a phone this level.
