Apple iPhone 3G is a not so powerful iOS cellphone released back in 2008, provisioned with a 412 megahertz processor, a 3.5 inches display and a 2 megapixels back side camera. But let's get into some more details.
Apple didn't seem to put much effort to reduce weight in this 4.7 ounces phone. Apple sells the iPhone 3G in two different color options: black and white.
The Apple iPhone 3G comes with a fast processor speeding at 412 megahertz and as little as 128 MB RAM. Graphic calculations often uses a lot of processing power, so it counts with an additional ARM Mali-400 MP1 graphics processing unit speeding at 320 MHz to improve overall performance. This phone counts with a 16 GB interesting internal memory and while it doesn't have a slot for external memory cards, it is enough to store hundreds of games and applications, although it may not be enough if you are planning to install some of the largest games currently available.
Apple equipped this phone with a good level 3.5 inches display, and a resolution of 480 x 320 , making everything look nice. This display uses LCD capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.
This cellphone has only a 2 mega-pixels back camera.
This cellphone features WiFi connection (although it can't be provided to other devices around, as a mobile hotspot) and fast 3G data connection, using HSDPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. The iPhone 3G uses a SIM card for GSM connection.
This cellphone has a poor capacity 1150 mAh Li-Ion non-replaceable battery that can keep it running for some hours, although you will probably need to charge it after some moderate use. Apple reports a 10 hs talk time and a 300 hs stand by time for this cellphone. A possible problem to take into account is that the iPhone 3G's battery isn't replaceable so you can't change it when it begins to get older, making it necessary to change the whole device or hopefully take it to someone who can disassemble the cellphone and switch the battery.
This phone also includes a couple of interesting features such as Bluetooth (allows communication with other phones and accessories) and GPS Navigation, and a few sensors likeLight Sensor, Proximity Sensor and Accelerometer.
This phone is not a very good choice considering it costs 125 dollars, and some similar cellphones are offerred way cheaper than that.
