Celkon Campus Crown Q40 Review

Score: 48 / 100

Celkon Campus Crown Q40 is a decent quality phone, packed with a 4 inches capacitive display, an extremely powerful Quad-Core processing unit speeding at 1.3 gigahertz, and two cameras, a 5 MP back side camera and a 1.3 mega-pixels front side camera. Is that all? Not at all, it's just the shortest summary on earth.

This cellphone is much lighter than what one would think about a phone this size. Celkon made this phoneavailable just in color gray. This phone is just 0.38" thick, making it one of the thinnest phones currently available.

Celkon packed this phone with a good looking 4" screen, and a resolution of 800 x 480 , making everything look great. This screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and can detect multiple fingers at the same time.

This cellphone is powered by a MediaTek MT6582M system chip, holding a very fast 1300 MHz Quad-Core CPU and only 512 MB RAM which is a little disappointing for such a powerful cellphone. Graphic calculations often consume a lot of processing power, so it also has an additional 416 megahertz ARM Mali-400 MP2 graphic processing unit to take some work out of the processor. This phone has areasonable 4 GB internal memory, which is quite good having that the Celkon Campus Crown Q40 also has an SD memory card expansion slot to store pictures and videos and even some games and apps that allow being installed in the external memory.

This cellphone counts with wi-fi connection (and it can provide it to other devices around, acting as a wireless router or modem) and 3G data connection, using EDGE technologies. The Celkon Campus Crown Q40 has dual SIM to be able to to work with two different phone lines or carriers.

This device features two cameras, a 5 megapixels back camera and a 1.3 mega-pixels front facing camera. Additionally, the camera includes auto-focus and flash.

This device also comes with some cool features like Bluetooth (allows communication with other bluetooth devices, computers, and accessories) and GPS Localization, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

This device uses a medium sized 1500 mAh Li-Ion battery that provides the Celkon Campus Crown Q40 a not very long battery duration comparing with other similar devices. Celkon reports a stand by time of 260 hs and a talk time of 6 hs for this phone.

Celkon offers this phone for $ 249, which is expensive for this type of cellphone.
