HTC Desire 300 Review

HTC Desire 300 is a not so powerful device, packing a 4.3 inches multi touch display, a powerful Dual-Core processor running at 1 gigahertz, a 5 megapixels back-facing camera and a 0.3 megapixels front-facing camera. That's everything we have to say? Not at all, it's only the introduction of a detailed review.

This cellphone's thickness (0.4") is a bit far from current standards, but it still feels quite fine in the user's hand. HTC made this cellphone in black and white. HTC did a very nice design job making this phone as lightweight as 4.23 oz.

HTC equipped this phone with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 chip, backed up by a great performance 1 GHz Dual-Core processor and 512 MB of RAM. Graphic intensive applications generally eats a lot of CPU time, so the HTC Desire 300 also uses a 245 megahertz Adreno 203 GPU to take care of them, leaving the CPU free for other tasks. The HTC Desire 300 comes with a 4 GB internal storage memory, a passable quantity that should be enough for the vast majority of users considering that this phone also has a slot for an external memory card to store songs, photographs and videos.

The HTC Desire 300 is equipped with a nice 4.3 inches screen with a 800 x 480 resolution, which makes all pictures and movies look beautiful. This screen uses LCD capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch gestures.

This phone has two cameras, a 5 MP back side camera and a 0.3 MP front camera. Its back side camera has an aperture of F2.8 so it has some trouble taking sharp photographs in low light environments. To complete the camera, it also counts with auto-focus.

The HTC Desire 300 features wifi connection (but it can't be shared with other devices as a mobile hotspot) and fast 3G connection type, using HSDPA, HSUPA and EDGE technologies. This cellphone uses a Micro SIM card for GSM services.

The HTC Desire 300 comes with a 1650 mAh medium capacity Li-Polymer replaceable battery providing the HTC Desire 300 with a quite short battery duration.

This phone also features a handful of interesting features such as Bluetooth (4.0) and GPS, and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

This cellphone is very overpriced considering it costs $ 249, while other similar devices are sold for much less than that. If you are looking for a device majorly for internet broswing and social networks, you will definitely be very satisfied with this cellphone.
