HTC EVO Shift 4G is a decent phone released in January 2011, provisioned with a medium 3.6-inches multi-touch capacitive screen, a 800 megahertz processor and a 5 MP back camera. But let's get into a bit more details.
This cellphone is quite thick for current standards, being as thick as 0.62 inches. HTC didn't put much effort to reduce weight in this 5.9 oz cellphone, much heavier than other similar phones.
The HTC EVO Shift 4G comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S2 MSM7630 system chip, backed up by a good performance 800 MHz CPU with 512 MB of RAM. To help with graphic intensive games and applications, it also has a 245 MHz Adreno 205 graphics processing unit.
HTC equipped this phone with a very good 3.6" screen, and a 800 x 480 resolution, providing this cellphone with a very good graphic quality. This screen uses TFT capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.
This cellphone is only equipped with a 5 mega-pixels back facing camera. It is also able to capture videos in 1280x720 (HD). The camera also has a few useful characteristics: auto-focus, flash and geo tagging.
This phone features WiFi capability (but it can't be shared with other devices acting as a router or modem) and 3G internet connection, supported by EV-DO A technologies. This phone doesn't have a SIM card, because it doesn't support GSM connections and it works in CDMA carriers.
This cellphone also includes a few interesting characteristics such as Bluetooth (enables communication with other cellphones and accessories) and GPS (Global Positioning System), and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.
This phone packs a 1500 mAh medium Li-Ion removable battery that provides the HTC EVO Shift 4G a not very long battery life. HTC reports a talk time of 6 hours and a stand by time of 146 hs for this cellphone.
This phone is really overvalued considering it is sold for 215 dollars, and many similar cellphones are a lot cheaper than that. This cellphone includes 2GB microSD card, AC adapter, Reference material, Li-Ion Battery and USB cable.
