Huawei Ascend W2 Review

Huawei Ascend W2 is a mid level Windows Phone 8 phone, coming with a 5 MP back facing camera, a medium sized 4.3-inches capacitive display and a very fast 1400 megahertz Dual-Core processor.

Apparently Huawei forgot about optimizing the weight in this 5.64 oz phone. Huawei is offering the Huawei Ascend W2 in multiple colors like black, yellow, blue and red. This phone has an inspired design, with a thickness of just 0.39".

Huawei decided to equip this phone with an exceptional 1400 megahertz Dual-Core CPU, bundled in the Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 MSM8230 chip with only 512 MB RAM which is a little bit low comparing with this phone's great processing power. Collaborating with graphic intensive apps, this cellphone also counts with a 450 MHz Adreno 305 graphics processing unit.

This cellphone includes a good level 800 x 480 4.3" display, giving this phone a good level image quality. Its display uses TFT capacitive technology, and has multi-touch detection.

This phone offers Wi-Fi connectivity (although it can't share it with other devices acting as a wireless modem). The Huawei Ascend W2 uses a SIM card for GSM services.

The Huawei Ascend W2 only features a 5 mega-pixels back-facing camera. It can also capture HD 1280x720 videos. Additionally, this phone's camera also has face detection shooting and geo tagging.

This phone counts with a medium 1700 mAh battery that can keep it running for some hours, although you will need to charge it if you use it heavily. This cellphone has an aproximate talk time of 9.5 hs and a stand by time of 395 hs according to Huawei.

This phone also comes with a handful of useful characteristics as Bluetooth (enables communication with other bluetooth devices and accessories) and GPS Navigation, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

The Huawei Ascend W2 is really overvalued considering it is sold for 249 dollars, while some similar phones can be found for much less money.
