Huawei IDEOS X1 Review

Huawei IDEOS X1 is a mid-to-low level Android device, equipped with a quite powerful CPU running at 528 megahertz, a 2.8-inches multi touch screen and a 3.2 MP back-facing camera. Is that all? Not at all, it's just the tip of the iceberg.

Huawei decided to equip this device with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 MSM7225 chip, holding a fast CPU speeding at 528 MHz with as little as 256 MB RAM memory.

Huawei didn't seem to put much effort to reduce weight in this 3.53 oz cellphone. This device is a bit thick for today's standards, being as thick as 0.51 inches. This cellphone isn't a compact phone, considering it is 4.09" long and 2.2" wide,but it just packs a 2.8 inches screen.

Huawei designed this phone with an average 2.8 inches display, and a 320 x 240 (QVGA) resolution, making everything look nice. Its display uses TFT capacitive technology, and is multi-touch enabled.

This device only has a 3.2 MP back side camera.

This phone includes wi-fi connection (which can be shared with other devices around, acting as a mobile hotspot) and 3G fast connection type, supported by HSPA and UMTS technologies. This device uses a SIM card for GSM networks.

This device also comes with a couple nice features like Bluetooth (2.1), GPS Navigation and Radio, and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

This phone features a 1200 mAh small capacity Li-Ion removable battery providing the Huawei IDEOS X1 with a below average battery life. This device has an aproximate 4 hours talk time and a 336 hours stand by time according to Huawei.

Huawei is selling the Huawei IDEOS X1 for $ 80, which is a high price for this kind of phone.
