Kyocera decided to equip this phone with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 QSD8650 system chip, including a good performance 1 GHz processing unit with 512 MB of RAM memory. To handle graphic intensive apps and games, it also counts with an Adreno 200 graphics processing unit running at 128 MHz.
This phone is a little bit thick compared to today's phones, being as thick as 0.68 inches. This cellphone feels a bit heavy for a device of this size, with a weight of 6.8 ounces.
The Kyocera Echo only has a 5 MP back-facing camera. It is capable of shooting videos in HD 1280x720. This camera also has flash and auto-focus.
Kyocera equipped this phone with a interesting 3.5-inches display, and a 800 x 480 resolution, which makes it hard to see the pixels in the display. This display uses LCD capacitive technology, and can detect multiple fingers at the same time.
The Kyocera Echo has a medium 1370 mAh Li-Ion replaceable battery, which is quite low for a thirsty cellphone like this.
This cellphone has wifi capability (although it can't be shared with other devices around, as a mobile hotspot) and 3G connectivity, over EV-DO A technologies. This cellphone doesn't have a sim card, because it doesn't support GSM services and it works with CDMA networks.
This phone also features a few nice characteristics as Bluetooth and GPS Navigation, and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.
Kyocera is offering this cellphone for 200 dollars, which is not cheap for comparing with other similar cellphones.
