LG G2 Review

LG G2 is a very complete Android phone released in August 2013, featuring a pretty big 5.2 inches multi-touch screen, a high performance Quad-Core processing unit running at 2260 megahertz, a 13 megapixels back-facing camera and a 2.1 megapixels front-facing camera. We will get a better idea about this device's characteristics when we get into specific details.

LG equipped this cellphone with a very fast 2.26 GHz Quad-Core processing unit, packed into a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 MSM8974 chip and a huge 2 GB of RAM memory. To handle graphic intensive games and apps, this cellphone also uses an Adreno 330 graphic processing unit clocking at 450 MHz. This cellphone has an amazing 32 GB internal storage and a slot for external memory cards, which allows you to install lots of applications, games, songs, pictures and videos without worrying about running out of space.

Though the LG G2 is just 5.45 inches long and 2.79" wide, it manages to hold a 5.2 inches screen. This cellphone is thin and practical, with a thickness of just 0.36 inches. This phone is sold in 2 colors, black and white. LG appears to have forgotten about weight optimization in this 5.47 oz cellphone.

LG designed this cellphone with a completely amazing 5.2 inches screen, and a 1920 x 1080 (Full HD) resolution, giving this phone a very detailed graphical experience. This screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, with a very good 450 candela/m² brightness and has multi-touch detection.

The LG G2 features two cameras, a 13 MP back side camera and a 2.1 MP front facing camera. While it's 13 MP may sound incredible the back side camera sensor size is quite small which makes pictures be less detailed and darker than you would expect. It is capable of filming Full HD 1920x1080 videos at 60 fps. This cellphone also includes a lot of great characteristics: auto-focus, flash, optical image stabilization, fast burst mode, HDR mode, face detection shooting and geo tagging.

The LG G2 offers Wi-Fi connection (which can be provided to other devices acting as a wireless modem or router), LTE (4G) high performance connectivity and also HSPA+ data connection, that is a lower speed 4G network and 3G fast connection type, using HSDPA, HSUPA and EDGE technologies. The LG G2 uses a Micro SIM card for GSM networks and it can use both GSM and CDMA.

This cellphone has a 3000 mAh huge Li-Polymer non-removable battery, enough to provide the LG G2 with a marvelous battery duration. According to LG, this phone has an aproximate talk time of 34.3 hs and a stand by time of 274 hours. An issue to evaluate is that the LG G2's battery is non-removable so you won't be able to replace it when it begins to live shorter, even though having 3000 mAh you will probably replace this phone before that becomes a real problem.

This phone also features plenty of interesting features such as Wireless charging compatibility, NFC (Near Field Communication), Infrared Transmitter, Bluetooth (4.0) and GPS, and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

LG offers this cellphone for 180 dollars, which is a rather high price for this kind of device. This phone is probably a good choice no matter if you want this cellphone to take lots of photographs, are looking for a gamer device, will use it mainly for internet broswing and social networks or need a work cellphone.
