HTC One Review

HTC One is a high quality Android phone released in 2013, which features a 4.7 inches screen, an extremely fast Quad-Core CPU running at 1700 megahertz, and 2 cameras, a 4 MP back-facing camera and a 2.1 MP front facing camera.

HTC offers this phone in three colors: black, red and white. HTC has made an excellent job making this cellphone weight just 5.04 oz. Although this device is only 5.41" long, it manages to hold a 4.7" screen. This cellphone is very thin and stilized, with a thickness of just 0.37 inches.

HTC decided to equip this cellphone with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 APQ8064T chip, including a high-tech 1700 MHz Quad-Core processing unit and a big 2 GB RAM. Graphic rendering usually consume a lot of CPU time, so it uses an Adreno 320 graphic processing unit speeding at 400 megahertz to improve overall performance. A good point of this phone is its inmense 64 GB internal storage and whereas it doesn't include a slot for an external memory card, it it is more than enough to store hundreds of applications and even the largest games currently available without having to worry about running out of space at all.

This cellphone has two cameras, a 4 MP back camera and a 2.1 megapixels front camera. Its back camera has a 2 aperture so it can capture beautiful pictures even in low-light conditions. It is capable of shooting videos in Full HD 1920x1080 at 30 frames per second, and slow-motion videos in 768x432 at 96 frames per second (3.2 times slower than regular videos). The camera also counts with lots of useful characteristics like flash, auto-focus, optical image stabilization, fast burst mode, geo tagging and HDR mode.

This phone is equipped with an astonishing 4.7-inches display with a 1920 x 1080 (Full HD) resolution, providing this cellphone with a very detailed graphic quality. Its display uses S-LCD 3 capacitive technology, and has multi-touch detection.

The HTC One offers wifi capability (which it can share with other devices around, acting as a router or modem), LTE 4G fast connection type and fast 3G data connection, using HSPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This phone uses a Micro SIM card for GSM networks and it can work with both CDMA and GSM networks.

This phone has amassive 2300 mAh Li-Polymer non-replaceable battery providing this cellphone an average battery life. This phone has a reported 461 hours stand by time and a 18 hs talk time according to HTC. An issue to evaluate is that this cellphone's battery is not removable so you can't change it when it begins to lose capacity, whereas having 2300 mAh you will probably replace this phone before it happens.

The HTC One also features many great features such as NFC (to trigger actions, transfer data or make payments by holding your device close to another NFC device or tag), Infrared Blaster, Bluetooth (4.0), GPS Localization and FM Radio, and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

The HTC One is being sold for about $ 178, which is quite a high price for this type of phone.
