HTC One Review

HTC One is an incredible Android phone launched back in 2013, packing a 4.7 inches touch-screen, a high performance 1.7 GHz Quad-Core CPU, and 2 cameras, a 4 mega-pixels back side camera and a 2.1 megapixels front facing camera. Let's take a closer look at what this cellphone offers to us.

This device is just 0.37" thick, making its way into the thinnest cellphones podium. The HTC One is quite a compact phone, considering it presents a 4.7 inches screen and it's just 5.41" long. HTC has made a very nice job making the HTC One weight just 5.04 ounces. This cellphone is for sale in 3 different colors, black, red and white.

This device includes a gorgeous 4.7-inches display with a 1920 x 1080 (Full HD) resolution, providing this phone with a delightful graphic quality. Its display uses S-LCD 3 capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch gestures.

HTC decided to build this phone using a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 APQ8064T chip, packing a very powerful 1.7 gigahertz Quad-Core processing unit and a great 2 GB RAM. Helping with graphic intensive games and applications, it also has an Adreno 320 GPU running at 400 MHz. This cellphone comes with a 64 GB large internal memory and though it doesn't count with a slot for SD memory cards, it is still enough to install lots of apps, games, pictures and videos without thinking about running out of space at all.

This cellphone offers WiFi capability (which it can share with other devices as a mobile hotspot), LTE 4G high speed connection type and 3G fast data connection, supported by HSPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This cellphone works with a Micro SIM card to connect to GSM networks and it can work with both CDMA and GSM networks.

This cellphone features two cameras, a 4 MP back side camera and a 2.1 MP front facing camera. Its back side camera lens has a f/2 aperture so it can shoot sharp photos even in poor lighting situations. It also films videos up to 1920x1080 (Full HD) at 30 frames per second, and 768x432 slow-motion videos up to 96 fps. In addition, the camera includes multiple great features like flash, auto-focus, optical image stabilization, fast burst mode, HDR mode and geo tagging.

This phone also features a wide variety of interesting features such as NFC (Near Field Communication), Infrared Transmitter, Bluetooth (4.0), GPS Geolocation and Radio, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

This cellphone has a 2300 mAh huge Li-Polymer non-removable battery, which isn't very promising for a cellphone like this. This device has a reported stand by time of 461 hs and a talk time of 18 hs according to HTC. An issue to take into consideration is that the HTC One's battery isn't removable so you won't be able to replace it when it starts to get older, though with such a great capacity you will probably buy a new device before that happens.

HTC is offering the HTC One for $ 163, which is quite a high price for a phone this level. This phone is definitely the correct choice for you no matter if you you love taking pictures, want a social phone, are looking for a phone for work or will use it as a gamer cellphone.
