HTC One Review

HTC One is a top quality Android cellphone released some years ago, in 2013, which counts with a medium sized 4.7 inches multi-touch screen, an exceptional 1700 MHz Quad-Core processor, and 2 cameras, a 4 megapixels back-facing camera and a 2.1 megapixels front side camera. This cellphone is incredibly slim and stilized, being just 0.37" thick. The HTC One is a compact device, given that it presents a 4.7" display and it's only 5.41 inches long. HTC made this device in three different colors, black, red and white. This cellphone feels much lighter than what you expect from a phone of this size.

Graphic calculations generally consume lots of CPU time, so this phone counts with an extra Adreno 320 graphics processing unit ticking at 400 MHz to unload the processor. This phone has a impressive 64 GB internal memory and though it doesn't include an SD memory card expansion slot, it it is more than enough to install hundreds of apps without having to worry about how much storage is left.

This phone has wi-fi capability (and it can share it with other devices around, acting as a wireless modem), 4G LTE high speed internet connection and fast 3G connectivity, supported by HSPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. The HTC One works with a Micro SIM card for GSM carriers and it can connect to both GSM and CDMA networks.

The HTC One has two cameras, a 4 mega-pixels back camera and a 2.1 megapixels front camera. Its back camera has an aperture of f/2 so it can shoot detailed pictures even in poorly lit environments. It is capable of capturing 1920x1080 Full HD videos at 30 fps, and slow-motion videos in 768x432 at 96 frames per second. In addition, this cellphone's camera also features a large number of useful characteristics: flash, fast burst mode, auto-focus, HDR mode, optical image stabilization and geo tagging.

The HTC One uses a 2300 mAh huge Li-Polymer non-replaceable battery that provides this phone a good battery life. HTC says this device has a 461 hs stand by time and a 26.2 hours talk time. An issue to take into consideration is that the HTC One's battery is not replaceable so you can't change it when it starts to have trouble holding its charge, whereas with such a huge battery size you will probably replace this phone before it becomes an issue.

This phone also features a wide range of cool features as NFC (to trigger actions, transfer data or make payments by holding your cellphone close to another NFC device or tag), Infrared Transmitter, Bluetooth (4.0), GPS (Global Positioning System) and Radio, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

HTC offers this phone for $ 174, which is quite expensive for a phone this level. If you will use it as a social cellphone, love photography, want a phone for work or will use it as a gaming cellphone, you will probably be very pleased with it.
