LG Vortex Review

LG Vortex is a not very powerful Android cellphone released in 2010, which features a fast 600 megahertz CPU, a 3.2 mega-pixels back-facing camera and a 3.2-inches multi-touch display.

LG decided to sell this phone with a quite powerful processing unit clocking at 600 megahertz. The LG Vortex counts with a 153,6 MB internal storage, a low quantity that may be enough for some users considering that it also has a slot for an external memory card to store songs, pictures and videos.

The LG Vortex is a bit heavy comparing with today standards, weighting 4.44 oz. This device is a little bit thick compared to nowadays cellphones, being as thick as 0.52 inches. While this phone is 4.47" long, it only packs a way smaller 3.2" screen.

This phone only features a 3.2 megapixels back facing camera. It is capable of capturing VGA 640x480 videos.

LG equipped this cellphone with a interesting 3.2" screen, and a 480 x 320 resolution, which makes all pictures and videos look nice. Its screen uses LCD capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.

This cellphone features a 1500 mAh mid capacity Li-Ion battery that provides this phone a below average battery lifecompared to other phones. LG reports a stand by time of 500 hs and a talk time of 7.5 hs for this phone.

This cellphone includes Wi-Fi capability (but it can't share it with other devices around, acting as a mobile hotspot) and 3G connection type, over EV-DO A technologies. This cellphone doesn't use a sim card, because it isn't a GSM enabled device and it works in CDMA carriers.

This cellphone also comes with some nice characteristics such as Bluetooth (2.1, EDR) and GPS Geolocation, and a few sensors likeProximity Sensor and Accelerometer.
