Motorola Flipside is a decently made cellphone launched in October 2010, having a 3 MP back camera, a compact 3.1" multi touch screen and a fast 720 MHz CPU.
This phone is equipped with a powerful processor ticking at 720 megahertz, packed into the TI OMAP3410 chip and 512 MB RAM memory. Graphic calculations usually eats a lot of CPU processing time, so it also has a PowerVR SGX530 graphics processing unit ticking at 200 MHz to help the processor with those tasks.
Whereas this cellphone is as big as 4.31" long, it only packs a way smaller 3.1 inches display. This cellphone is quite thick for current standards, with its 0.59" thickness. This phone feels a bit heavyweight for a cellphone of this size, with a weight of 5.11 ounces.
This cellphone only features a 3 megapixels back side camera.
Motorola packed this cellphone with a nice 3.1-inches display, and a 480 x 320 resolution, making everything look quite nice. Its display uses TFT capacitive technology, and can detect multiple fingers at the same time.
This cellphone counts with wi-fi connectivity (although it can't be provided to other devices acting as a mobile hotspot) and fast 3G data connection, over HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. The Motorola Flipside uses a SIM card to connect to GSM networks.
The Motorola Flipside counts with a good 1540 mAh Li-Ion removable battery providing this cellphone with a below average battery duration. According to Motorola, this cellphone has an estimated talk time of 7.3 hs and a stand by time of 288 hours.
This phone also features a couple cool characteristics such as Bluetooth (2.1, EDR), GPS and FM Radio, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.
This phone costs about 90 dollars, a very high price for a cellphone this level.
