Micromax Canvas A1 Review

Micromax Canvas A1 is a mid-end cellphone, including a very fast 1.3 gigahertz Quad-Core processor, a medium sized 4.5" capacitive display, a 5 mega-pixels back side camera and a 2 mega-pixels front side camera.

Micromax decided to power this phone with a MediaTek MT6582 system chip, holding an extremely powerful 1300 MHz Quad-Core processor and only 1 GB of RAM memory which is a bit low for a device this good. Handling graphic intensive games and applications, the Micromax Canvas A1 also has a 416 MHz ARM Mali-400 MP2 GPU.

This cellphone only has 0" long and 0" wide, but it still manages to hold a 4.5 inches display. Micromax just offers this cellphone in color black.

Micromax designed this phone with a very good 4.5" display, and a resolution of 854 x 480 , providing this phone with a good image quality. This display uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.

This device counts with wi-fi connectivity (but it can't be shared with other devices acting as a mobile hotspot) and 3G internet connection, over UMTS and EDGE technologies. The Micromax Canvas A1 has dual SIM cards so it is able to work with two different phone numbers and even different carriers at the same time.

This cellphone is equipped with two cameras, a 5 MP back camera and a 2 MP front-facing camera. In addition, the camera has flash and auto-focus.

This cellphone uses a mid sized 1700 mAh removable battery providing this cellphone with a poor battery life. According to Micromax, the Micromax Canvas A1 has an aproximate talk time of 6 hs and a stand by time of 160 hs.

This cellphone also comes with a couple cool features as Bluetooth (allows communication with other devices, computers, and accessories), GPS and Radio, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

This phone is really overpriced considering it is sold for 175 dollars, and other similar phones can be found for much less money.
