Motorola Droid Pro is a fair quality Android phone launched some years ago, in 2010, equipped with a small 3.1 inches screen, a 5 MP back facing camera and a powerful 1 gigahertz processor. That's everything we have to say? No, it's just the introduction of a detailed review.
This cellphone is very slim, though it's not as slim as many other devices out there, with a thickness of 0.46 inches. While the Motorola Droid Pro has 4.69 inches long and 2.36" wide, it only holds a smaller 3.1" display. This time, it seems like Motorola forgot about optimizing the weight in this 4.73 ounces cellphone.
Motorola equipped this cellphone with a nice 3.1" display, and a resolution of 480 x 320 , making everything look good. This display uses TFT capacitive technology, and can detect multi touch gestures.
Motorola decided to build this cellphone using a fast 1000 MHz CPU, bundled in the TI OMAP3620 chip with 512 MB of RAM. This cellphone counts with a mediocre 1 GB internal storage, which could be enough for some users considering this cellphone also has a slot for an external memory card to store photos and videos.
This cellphone includes wi-fi connection (although it can't be provided to other devices acting as a wireless modem or router) and fast 3G connection type, over HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS, EV-DO A and EDGE technologies. This cellphone works with a SIM card for GSM networks and it can use both GSM and CDMA networks.
This cellphone has only a 5 megapixels back side camera. It also shoots videos in 720x480 at 30 frames per second. To complete the camera, it also has auto-focus and flash.
The Motorola Droid Pro also features some cool characteristics like Bluetooth (2.1, EDR) and GPS (Global Positioning System), and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.
This cellphone comes with a 1420 mAh mid capacity Li-Ion battery, which is quite poor for a thirsty cellphone like this. According to Motorola, the Motorola Droid Pro has an aproximate stand by time of 320 hours and a talk time of 7.2 hours.
The Motorola Droid Pro costs $ 200, which is a very high price for a phone this level.
