Nokia Lumia 530 is a mid-to-low level Windows Phone 8.1 phone launched in July 2014, equipped with a medium 4" screen, an extremely powerful Quad-Core processor ticking at 1200 MHz and a 5 mega-pixels back camera.
Nokia decided to equip this cellphone with a high speed Quad-Core CPU speeding at 1.2 gigahertz, bundled in the Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 chip with only 512 MB RAM which is a bit low for a cellphone this powerful. Helping with graphic rendering, it also uses a 400 megahertz Adreno 302 graphic processing unit. This cellphone comes with a decent 4 GB internal storage, which is enough for the vast majority of users knowing that it also has an external memory card slot to store songs, photographs and videos and even some games and apps that allow external memory installation.
Nokia appears to have forgotten about weight optimization in this 4.55 ounces cellphone. Though the Lumia 530 is thin it's not as thin as many other phones you can find, with a thickness of 0.46". This device is offerred in a nice range of color options, black, orange, green and white.
This phone is equipped with a very good 854 x 480 4-inches display, giving this phone a very good graphical experience. This display uses LCD capacitive technology, and is multi-touch enabled.
This phone offers wi-fi connectivity (which it can share with other devices around, as a mobile hotspot), 4G HSPA+ connectivity, which is not as fast as LTE networks and fast 3G connectivity, supported by HSDPA, HSUPA and EDGE technologies. This phone uses a Micro SIM card for GSM services.
This cellphone is only equipped with a 5 mega-pixels back camera. To complete the camera, it also counts with face detection shooting and geo tagging.
This phone also comes with a few interesting characteristics such as Bluetooth (for communication with other cellphones, computers and accessories), GPS (Global Positioning System) and FM Radio, and some sensors likeProximity Sensor and Accelerometer.
This phone features a good 1430 mAh Li-Ion removable battery that provides the Lumia 530 a not very long battery durationcompared to other cellphones. Nokia claims this cellphone has a talk time of 13.4 hours and a stand by time of 528 hours.
The Nokia Lumia 530 is not very convinient considering it is sold for 180 dollars, while some similar phones are being sold much cheaper than that.
