Samsung Captivate Glide Review

Samsung Captivate Glide is a good quality cellphone released in October 2011, packed with a 1000 MHz Dual-Core CPU, a 4 inches display, an 8 mega-pixels back facing camera and a 1.3 megapixels front-facing camera. Let's take a better look at what this device has to offer.

Samsung didn't seem to put much effort to reduce weight in this 5.2 oz device.

This cellphone is equipped with a great performance Dual-Core processor running at 1000 MHz, included in the NVIDIA Tegra 2 system chip and 1 GB of RAM memory. This cellphone has a good 8 GB internal memory and an external memory card slot, allowing you to store a couple hundred applications without worrying about space.

This phone is equipped with a good looking 800 x 480 4" display, providing this phone with a good level graphic quality. Its display uses Super AMOLED capacitive technology, and is multi-touch enabled.

The Samsung Captivate Glide has two cameras, an 8 mega-pixels back facing camera and a 1.3 mega-pixels front facing camera. It can also shoot 1280x720 HD videos at 30 fps. In addition, the camera counts with some useful characteristics: auto-focus, flash, geo tagging and smile detection shooting.

This device has a good 1650 mAh Li-Ion battery providing this cellphone with a quite short battery life. According to Samsung, this cellphone has an aproximate 8 hs talk time and a 396 hs stand by time.

This cellphone includes Wi-Fi capability (which can be shared with other devices around, as a mobile hotspot), 4G (HSPA+) connection type, that is not so fast as LTE-A or LTE 4G networks and 3G fast connection type, over HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. The Samsung Captivate Glide works with a SIM card to use GSM services.

The Samsung Captivate Glide also comes with a few nice features as NFC (Near Field Communication), Bluetooth (enables communication with other bluetooth cellphones, computers and accessories) and GPS Navigation, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

Samsung offers this cellphone for 135 dollars, which is quite a high price for comparing with similar phones. If you want it to take tons of photos, want a work cellphone, want a phone majorly for internet broswing and social networks or want a gamer device, this device is a good choice for you.
