Samsung Galaxy S5 mini Review

Samsung Galaxy S5 mini is a very complete Android phone launched some years ago, in 2014, equipped with an extremely fast 1.4 GHz Quad-Core processor, a medium 4.5-inches touch-screen, and two cameras, an 8 megapixels back-facing camera and a 2.1 mega-pixels front camera. Is that all? No, it's just the starting point of this extreme review.

Samsung decided to equip this phone with a Exynos 3 Quad 3470 system chip, including an extremely powerful Quad-Core processor running at 1400 megahertz and a large 1,5 GB RAM memory. Graphic intensive apps often consume lots of processing power, so it uses an extra ARM Mali-400 MP4 GPU speeding at 266 MHz to help handle those graphic tasks. A nice feature of this phone is the 16 GB quite large internal memory and an external SD slot, which allows the user to install a couple hundred apps and games without worrying about space.

This phone feels much lighter than what one would think about a phone this size. The S5 mini is for sale in lots of color variations like black, blue, white and gold. The S5 mini is extremely slim and practical, with a thickness of just 0.36". This cellphone is quite a compact cellphone, taking into account that it has a 4.5 inches screen and it's just 5.16" long and 2.55 inches wide.

This cellphone includes a beautiful 4.5 inches screen with a 1280 x 720 (HD) resolution, giving this phone a high level graphical experience. Its screen uses Super AMOLED capacitive technology, and can detect multiple fingers at the same time.

The S5 mini has two cameras, an 8 megapixels back facing camera and a 2.1 mega-pixels front-facing camera. It also films videos in 1920x1080 (Full HD) at 30 fps. To complete the camera, it also features multiple amazing characteristics: flash, auto-focus, fast burst mode, face detection shooting, digital image stabilization, HDR mode and geo tagging.

This device has wifi connection (which it can share with other devices acting as a mobile hotspot), 4G LTE high performance connection type and also HSPA+ internet connection, a slower 4G technology and the fastest 3G internet connection, using HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This device works with a Micro SIM card for GSM services.

This cellphone has a big capacity 2100 mAh Li-Ion removable battery that provides this device an average battery life.

This cellphone also features a lot of cool features such as Fingerprint unlock, NFC (to trigger actions, transfer data or make payments by holding your phone close to another NFC device or tag), Infrared Transmitter, Bluetooth (4.0) and GPS Localization, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

This phone is priced around 299 dollars, which is not very cheap for comparing with similar cellphones. This cellphone is probably the correct choice for you no matter whether you need a phone majorly for internet broswing and social networks, need a cellphone for playing games, love photography or will use it as a work cellphone.
