Sony Xperia M2 Review

Sony Xperia M2 is a pretty good Android device released in February 2014, featuring an 8 mega-pixels back facing camera, an extremely fast 1.2 gigahertz Quad-Core processing unit and a comfortable 4.8-inches multi touch screen. Great! That's it? Not at all, it's only the beginning of a much deeper review.

This cellphone comes with a high-tech 1.2 gigahertz Quad-Core processor, bundled in a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 MSM8926 chip with only 1 GB of RAM which is a little poor comparing with this cellphone's awesome processing power. Graphic intensive apps and games often uses lots of CPU processing time, so the Sony Xperia M2 uses an extra 450 megahertz Adreno 305 GPU to improve overall performance. A good point of this phone is its 8 GB quite large internal storage and an external memory slot, enough to store a couple hundred games and apps without worrying about space.

Sony is offering this cellphone in black, purple and white. This device is only 5.5" long and 2.8" wide, but it's able to fit a a 4.8" display. This device has an inspired design, with a thickness of just 0.34". This device feels much lighter than what one would expect from a phone like this.

Sony packed this phone with a interesting 4.8 inches display, and a 960 x 540 resolution, which makes everything look beautiful. Its display uses TFT capacitive technology, and can detect multi touch gestures.

This phone offers wifi capability (and it can be provided to other devices around, acting as a mobile hotspot), HSPA+ (4G) connection type, that is not so fast as LTE networks and fast 3G connection type, supported by HSDPA, HSUPA and EDGE technologies. This phone only has an 8 megapixels back camera. It also shoots 1920x1080 Full HD videos. This camera also has many great features like auto-focus, flash, fast burst mode, face detection shooting, digital image stabilization, smile detection shooting, HDR mode and geo tagging.

This cellphone uses amassive 2300 mAh Li-Ion battery, which isn't very much for a phone like this. Sony afirms this phone has a 693 hs stand by time and a 14.2 hours talk time.

This phone also features a few cool features as Near Field Communication (NFC), Bluetooth and GPS (Global Positioning System), and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

Sony offers the Sony Xperia M2 for 175 dollars, which is a really high price for comparing with similar cellphones. This device is a great option for you if you want it for gaming or want it mainly for social networks and internet browsing.
