Sony Xperia SL Review

Sony Xperia SL is a high-level phone, which features a 4.3" touch-screen, a high performance 1.7 GHz Dual-Core CPU, and 2 cameras, a 12.1 megapixels back facing camera and a 1.3 megapixels front-facing camera.

Sony equipped the Sony Xperia SL with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 MSM8260 system chip, backed up by a very fast 1.7 gigahertz Dual-Core processing unit and only 1 GB of RAM which is a bit poor for such a great phone. Handling graphic rendering, it also uses a 266 megahertz Adreno 220 graphic processing unit. This phone counts with a 26 GB interesting internal storage and while it doesn't include an SD memory slot, it is enough to store hundreds of applications, but it may not be enough if you are planning to install a couple of the largest games currently available or taking tons of photos and videos.

This phone is slim and practical, but it's not so slim as many other cellphones you can find, with a thickness of 0.42 inches. Sony appears to have forgotten about weight optimization in this 5.08 oz cellphone. This phone is sold in two different color options, black and white.

This cellphone is equipped with two cameras, a 12.1 mega-pixels back side camera and a 1.3 mega-pixels front side camera. This cellphone also shoots 1920x1080 Full HD videos at 29 fps. To complete the camera, it also counts with a couple of nice features: flash, digital image stabilization, auto-focus, smile detection shooting and face detection shooting.

The Sony Xperia SL has a incredible 1280 x 720 (HD) 4.3" display, which makes it impossible to even distinguish the pixels composing the display. This display uses TFT capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch gestures.

This phone includes wifi connection (and it can be shared with other devices as a mobile hotspot) and 3G fast data connection, using HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This phone works with a Micro SIM card for GSM connection.

This cellphone also features a few useful features as NFC, Bluetooth and GPS (Global Positioning System), and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

Sony offers this phone for $ 330, which is a high price for comparing with other similar cellphones. It doesn't matter whether you will use it as a gamer phone, love photography or want a device to mostly use social networks, this device is a good choice for you.
