Videocon Infinium Z45 Nova+ Review

Score: 50.1 / 100

Videocon Infinium Z45 Nova+ is a decent Android device, packed with a Quad-Core processing unit running at 1.2 gigahertz, a medium sized 4.5 inches multi-touch display, a 5 mega-pixels back side camera and a 2 megapixels front side camera.

This cellphone is slim, with a thickness of just 0.35". This device is a compact cellphone, taking into consideration it packs a 4.5" display and it's only 5.16 inches long. Videocon made this phone in 3 colors, black, blue and white. This cellphone is much lighter than what you would expect from a cellphone this size.

Videocon equipped this phone with a very good 4.5" screen, and a resolution of 854 x 480 , which makes it hard to see the pixels taking part of the screen. Its screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and can detect multi touch gestures.

Videocon ships this device with a high speed 1.2 gigahertz Quad-Core CPU and only 1 GB RAM which is a little bit disappointing comparing with its powerful CPU. Graphic intensive games and apps usually eats lots of processing time, so the Videocon Infinium Z45 Nova+ has an extra 416 megahertz ARM Mali-400 MP2 graphic processing unit to help the CPU with those tasks. A nice advantage of this phone is the 8 GB quite large internal memory and a slot for SD memory cards, allowing you to install a couple hundred applications and games without running out of space.

The Videocon Infinium Z45 Nova+ has two cameras, a 5 MP back facing camera and a 2 mega-pixels front-facing camera. This cellphone can also shoot videos up to 1920x1080 (Full HD). This camera also counts with flash.

This cellphone includes wifi capability (and it can share it with other devices acting as a mobile hotspot), HSPA+ 4G data connection, which is not so fast as LTE-A or LTE networks and fast 3G connection type, over HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. The Videocon Infinium Z45 Nova+ comes with two Micro SIM cards so it's able to work with 2 different phone lines and even different carriers at the same time.

This cellphone uses a mid capacity 1800 mAh battery, which is not really enough for a demanding device like this.

This cellphone also features a handful of useful features such as Bluetooth (2.1, EDR) and GPS, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

This cellphone is really expensive considering it is sold for $ 249, and many similar devices are a lot cheaper than that.
