Videocon Infinium Z50 Nova Review

Score: 50.9 / 100

Videocon Infinium Z50 Nova is a mid-end cellphone, having a pretty big 5-inches multi touch capacitive screen, an extremely powerful Quad-Core CPU running at 1300 megahertz, and two cameras, an 8 mega-pixels back facing camera and a 2 mega-pixels front facing camera.

Videocon sells the Videocon Infinium Z50 Nova in black and white. This device has an amazing design, with a thickness of just 0.32". This phone is only 5.72" long, but it still manages to hold a 5 inches screen. The Videocon Infinium Z50 Nova feels much lighter than what one would expect from a cellphone this size.

Videocon equipped this phone with a very powerful Quad-Core processing unit speeding at 1300 MHz, included in a MediaTek MT6582 system chip with only 1 GB of RAM memory which is a bit low comparing with the Videocon Infinium Z50 Nova's awesome CPU. Collaborating with graphic calculations, it also counts with an ARM Mali-400 MP2 graphics processing unit clocking at 416 megahertz. This phone counts with an 8 GB interesting internal memory and a slot for an external memory card, enough to install hundreds of applications and games without running out of space.

Videocon designed this phone with a very good 5-inches display, and a resolution of 960 x 540 , which makes everything look very good. Its display uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.

This cellphone features wi-fi connection (and it can be shared with other devices as a mobile hotspot), 4G (HSPA+) connectivity, which is not as fast as LTE networks and the fastest 3G data connection, supported by HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This cellphone supports dual sim cards so it can to use two different carriers or phone lines.

This phone is equipped with two cameras, an 8 MP back side camera and a 2 MP front side camera. This phone also films videos in Full HD 1920x1080. This cellphone also counts with a couple of interesting features like auto-focus, flash and HDR mode.

This phone also comes with a few useful features as Bluetooth (for communication with other bluetooth devices and accessories), GPS and Radio, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

The Videocon Infinium Z50 Nova uses a 1900 mAh medium sized removable battery that can keep it running for some hours, but you may need to charge it even after moderate usage.

This cellphone is not a good choice considering it costs $ 249, and some similar phones cost a lot less than that. Videocon sells this device with User Manual and Service Center Directory, Handset, Battery, USB Cable and Charger.
