Xiaomi Mi 4 Review

Xiaomi Mi 4 is a high quality cellphone released many years ago, with an exceptional Quad-Core processing unit ticking at 2.5 GHz, a good size 5" multi touch screen, and two cameras, a 13 MP back-facing camera and an 8 megapixels front camera.

The Xiaomi Mi 4 has a wonderful design, with a thickness of just 0.35 inches. While this cellphone is only 5.48 inches long, it's still able to fit a a 5" screen. Apparently Xiaomi forgot about optimizing the weight in this 5.26 oz cellphone. Xiaomi offers the Xiaomi Mi 4 in two different color options: black and white.

Xiaomi sells the Xiaomi Mi 4 with an extremely powerful Quad-Core processor running at 2500 megahertz, bundled in a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 8974-AC system chip and a large 3 GB RAM. Handling graphic intensive applications and games, it also counts with a 450 megahertz Adreno 330 graphics processing unit. The Xiaomi Mi 4 comes with a 16 GB interesting internal memory and whereas it doesn't count with an SD extension slot, it is enough to store a couple hundred games and applications, but it probably wouldn't be suitable if you are fan of the largest games available nowadays or taking tons of pictures and videos.

This phone is equipped with two cameras, a 13 MP back camera and an 8 megapixels front camera. Whereas it's 13 MP might sound great the back camera sensor size is quite small which makes photos be less detailed and darker than you would expect. This phone also shoots 3840x2160 4K videos at 30 fps, and Full HD 1920x1080 slow-motion videos up to 60 frames per second. The camera also features multiple useful features like auto-focus, flash, smile detection shooting, face detection shooting, geo tagging and HDR mode.

Xiaomi designed this device with an amazing 5 inches screen, and a 1920 x 1080 (Full HD) resolution, giving this cellphone a perfect graphical experience. This screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and can detect multi touch gestures.

This phone has a big 3080 mAh Li-Polymer non-removable battery providing the Xiaomi Mi 4 an incredible battery duration. An issue to evaluate is that this phone's battery is not removable so you can't change it when it starts to get older, though with so much capacity you will probably buy a new phone before that becomes a real problem.

This device provides wifi connectivity (which it can share with other devices acting as a mobile hotspot), 4G (LTE) high performance connection and also HSPA+ connectivity, that is a lower speed 4G type and 3G fast connectivity, supported by HSDPA, HSUPA and EDGE technologies. This phone uses a SIM card for GSM connection.

The Xiaomi Mi 4 also comes with a handful of useful features such as Infrared Blaster, Bluetooth (for communication with other bluetooth devices, computers, and accessories) and GPS Navigation, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

This phone is priced about 329 dollars, quite expensive for this type of cellphone. It doesn't matter whether you are looking for a gaming device, will use this cellphone mainly for internet broswing and social networks, want it for work or are an amateur photographer, this cellphone is definitely the right choice for you.
