Xiaomi Redmi 1S Review

Xiaomi Redmi 1S is an interesting Android phone, coming with an extremely fast 1600 megahertz Quad-Core CPU, a 4.7 inches multi touch screen, and two cameras, an 8 MP back side camera and a 1.6 MP front facing camera.

Xiaomi equipped this phone with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 MSM8228 chip, holding a high-tech Quad-Core processing unit ticking at 1.6 GHz with only 1 GB of RAM memory which is a little poor for such a great phone. Graphic rendering often uses lots of processor time, so it uses an additional Adreno 305 GPU ticking at 450 MHz to take care of them, leaving the CPU free for other tasks. An interesting aspect of this cellphone is the 8 GB quite big internal storage and a slot for external memory cards, allowing you to install hundreds of applications without any problem.

Xiaomi didn't seem to put much effort to reduce weight in this 5.57 oz device. This cellphone has a beautiful design, with a thickness of just 0.39 inches. This phone is a compact cellphone, taking into consideration it presents a 4.7" display and it's only 5.39 inches long.

Xiaomi packed the Xiaomi Redmi 1S with a beautiful 4.7-inches display, and a 1280 x 720 (HD) resolution, which makes it impossible to even distinguish the pixels in the display. This display uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch gestures.

This phone has Wi-Fi capability (but it can't provide it to other devices acting as a hotspot). The Xiaomi Redmi 1S has dual SIM cards to be able to to work with two different phone numbers at the same time.

The Xiaomi Redmi 1S costs $ 249, which is not a really offer for a phone this level. No matter whether you want a gaming cellphone or need a cellphone to mainly use social networks, you will definitely be very pleased with this phone.
