Asus Fonepad 8 is an interesting Android device, provisioned with a big 8-inches multi touch capacitive screen, a great 1800 megahertz Quad-Core processor, and 2 cameras, a 5 mega-pixels back side camera and a 2 MP front-facing camera. But let's get into some more detail.
This time, it seems like Asus forgot about weight optimization in this 11.57 oz portable tablet. Whereas the Asus Fonepad 8 is just 8.43 inches long, it is still able to fit a a 8 inches screen. This tablet has an amazing design, with a thickness of just 0.35 inches. This tablet is offerred in 2 different color options, black and white.
The Asus Fonepad 8 ships with a Intel Atom Z3560 chip, packing a high performance 1.8 GHz Quad-Core CPU with a big 2 GB RAM. A nice advantage of this tablet is its quite big 8 GB internal memory and a slot for an SD memory card, which allows the user to install a couple hundred applications and games without any trouble.
The Asus Fonepad 8 has a good 8-inches display with a 1280 x 800 resolution, giving this portable tablet an average graphical experience. Its display uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and is multi-touch enabled.
The Asus Fonepad 8 features wi-fi capability (although it can't provide it to other devices acting as a router or modem), 4G (HSPA+) connection type, which is not so fast as LTE networks and 3G fast connectivity, over HSDPA and HSUPA technologies. The Asus Fonepad 8 has 2 SIM cards so it is able to use 2 different phone lines and even different carriers at the same time.
The Asus Fonepad 8 has two cameras, a 5 MP back facing camera and a 2 megapixels front facing camera.
The Asus Fonepad 8 also features a handful of cool features as Bluetooth (provides communication with other tablet devices, computers and accessories) and GPS Localization, and a couple sensors likeLight Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.
