Toshiba AT200 is a mid-end Android tablet device launched in September 2011, provisioned with a powerful Dual-Core processing unit speeding at 1.2 gigahertz, a 10.1-inches screen, a 5 megapixels back side camera and a 2 megapixels front-facing camera. Great! That's it? Not at all, it's just the starting point of a detailed review.
This device is extremely slim and comfortable, with a thickness of just 0.3 inches. While this tablet is only 10.08 inches long, it manages to pack a 10.1 inches screen. The Toshiba AT200 doesn't feel very lightweight comparing to other tablets , weighting 19.68 ounces.
Toshiba packed the Toshiba AT200 with a nice 10.1-inches screen, and a 800 x 1280 resolution, providing this portable tablet with a nice image quality. Its screen uses TFT capacitive technology, and can detect multiple fingers at the same time.
The Toshiba AT200 is powered by a great performance Dual-Core CPU ticking at 1.2 gigahertz, packed into a TI OMAP4430 chip with 1 GB RAM. Helping with graphic rendering, the Toshiba AT200 also uses a PowerVR SGX540 graphics processing unit clocking at 200 megahertz. A good advantage of this tablet is its inmense 32 GB internal memory and a slot for external memory cards, allowing you to install lots of apps, games, pictures and videos without worrying about how much memory is left.
The Toshiba AT200 offers Wi-Fi connection (although it can't be provided to other devices around, acting as a mobile hotspot). The Toshiba AT200 doesn't have a SIM card, because it is not a GSM tablet.
This device is equipped with two cameras, a 5 mega-pixels back-facing camera and a 2 megapixels front facing camera. It also shoots Full HD 1920x1080 videos. In addition, the camera has flash.
This tablet also features some nice features like Bluetooth (provides communication with other devices, computers, and accessories) and GPS (Global Positioning System), and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.
Toshiba sells the Toshiba AT200 for $ 100, which is not cheap for this kind of tablet.
