The Toshiba Excite 7 is powered by a Rockchip RK3188 system chip, backed up by a very fast Quad-Core processing unit running at 1.6 gigahertz with only 1 GB RAM memory which is a little disappointing for a tablet of this quality. The Toshiba Excite 7 comes with an 8 GB interesting internal memory and an SD memory slot, enough to install hundreds of games and apps without any problem.
The Toshiba Excite 7 is a bit heavy for a tablet of this size, with a weight of 12.2 oz. This tablet is a compact tablet, given that it presents a 7 inches display and it has just 7.8" long and 4.6" wide. This device is thin and looks really nice, though it's not as thin as many other portable tablets on sale, with a thickness of 0.43".
This tablet includes a good 1024 x 600 7" screen, making everything look quite nice.
This device features wi-fi capability (but it can't provide it to other devices around, acting as a router or modem). The Toshiba Excite 7 doesn't use a SIM card, because it isn't a GSM tablet.
