Asus PadFone Review

Asus PadFone is a mid level phone released many years ago, which features an exceptional Dual-Core processor clocking at 1500 megahertz, a medium sized 4.3" multi touch screen, and two cameras, an 8 megapixels back-facing camera and a 0.3 MP front side camera.

Asus decided to equip this cellphone using a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8260A system chip, which holds a high performance 1.5 GHz Dual-Core processing unit with only 1 GB RAM which is a little low for a cellphone this good. To help with graphic rendering, this cellphone also uses a 400 megahertz Adreno 225 GPU. This cellphone comes with a 16 GB interesting internal storage memory and an external memory card slot, which allows you to store a couple hundred games and apps without any problem.

This cellphone is extremely thin and comfortable, being just 0.36 inches thick. This phone feels a bit heavy comparing with today standards, with a weight of 4.55 ounces.

This cellphone is equipped with a good level 4.3-inches display with a 960 x 540 resolution, providing this phone with a good image quality. This display uses Super AMOLED capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch gestures.

This cellphone features wi-fi connection (although it can't provide it to other devices around, acting as a hotspot), HSPA+ 4G connection type, which is not so fast as LTE-A or LTE networks and the fastest 3G connection type, supported by HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. The Asus PadFone uses a SIM card for GSM networks.

This phone features two cameras, an 8 MP back facing camera and a 0.3 mega-pixels front-facing camera. The Asus PadFone also films Full HD 1920x1080 videos at 30 fps. Additionally, the camera has flash.

This cellphone comes with a 1520 mAh mid capacity Li-Ion battery providing this device with a not very long battery duration. This phone has an estimated 10.8 hours talk time and a 373 hs stand by time.

This phone also features some nice features as Bluetooth (4.0) and GPS Geolocation, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

Asus offers the Asus PadFone for 250 dollars, which is expensive for a phone this level. The Asus PadFone is definitely a very good choice if you will use this phone majorly for social networks and internet browsing or are looking for a cellphone to play lots of games.
