BLU Dash 5.0+ Review

BLU Dash 5.0+ is a not so powerful Android cellphone, packed with a big 5 inches touch-screen, a 1.3 gigahertz Quad-Core CPU, and two cameras, a 5 MP back camera and a 0.3 mega-pixels front facing camera. Let's take a closer look at what this cellphone can do.

BLU decided to equip this phone using a very powerful 1300 MHz Quad-Core CPU and only 512 MB of RAM memory which is a little bit low for such a powerful cellphone. Helping with graphic calculations, this phone also uses a 500 MHz ARM Mali-400 GPU. This phone comes with areasonable 4 GB internal memory, which is quite good knowing that it also has a slot for an external memory card .

This cellphone doesn't feel very lightweight for a cellphone this size, with a weight of 6.17 ounces. This cellphone is very slim and stilized, with a thickness of just 0.37 inches. Though the BLU Dash 5.0+ is only 5.75 inches long, it is still able to fit a a 5" screen. BLU sells the BLU Dash 5.0+ in lots of colors like black, gray, yellow, blue, red and white.

This cellphone features two cameras, a 5 mega-pixels back side camera and a 0.3 megapixels front facing camera. This cellphone also captures HD 1280x720 videos at 30 frames per second. This camera also counts with flash.

BLU packed this cellphone with a interesting 5-inches screen, and a resolution of 854 x 480 , which makes everything look nice. Its screen uses LCD capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.

This device uses a mid sized 2000 mAh battery, which is quite poor for a consuming device like this. BLU reports a 24 hours talk time and a 900 hs stand by time for this phone.

The BLU Dash 5.0+ offers WiFi connectivity (which can be shared with other devices around, as a mobile hotspot), 4G HSPA+ internet connection, which is not so fast as LTE or LTE-A 4G networks and fast 3G connection type, using HSDPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This cellphone uses 2 SIM cards to be able to to use 2 different phone numbers.

This cellphone also includes some interesting features such as Bluetooth (provides communication with other bluetooth phones, computers and accessories) and GPS Navigation, and some sensors likeLight Sensor, Proximity Sensor and Accelerometer.
