BLU Studio 5.0 is a mid level Android phone, provisioned with a comfortable 5" multi touch display, a fast Dual-Core processor speeding at 1000 megahertz, and 2 cameras, a 5 MP back camera and a 0.3 MP front side camera.
BLU made the BLU Studio 5.0 in two different colors, black and white. This cellphone's thickness of 0.43" is quite far from current standards, but it still feels in the hand. BLU has made an excellent design job making this cellphone weight just 5.5 ounces.
This phone includes a interesting 5" screen with a 800 x 480 resolution, which makes everything look good. This screen uses LCD capacitive technology, and has multi-touch detection.
BLU decided to power the BLU Studio 5.0 using a great performance 1000 MHz Dual-Core processing unit, bundled in the MediaTek chip with 512 MB RAM. Graphic intensive apps usually consume a lot of processing power, so it also has a 200 megahertz PowerVR SGX531 GPU to help the CPU with those tasks. The BLU Studio 5.0 comes with a 4 GB internal storage, a moderate quantity that should be fine for the average user considering that it also has an external SD slot .
This cellphone includes wi-fi connection (although it can't be shared with other devices as a mobile mobile hotspot) and 3G fast connection type, over HSDPA and EDGE technologies. The BLU Studio 5.0 supports dual sim so it's able to use 2 different phone numbers or carriers.
This phone has two cameras, a 5 MP back facing camera and a 0.3 MP front facing camera. It is also able to capture videos in HD 1280x720 at 30 fps. To complete the camera, it also counts with flash.
The BLU Studio 5.0 uses a 2000 mAh medium sized battery that provides this device a quite short battery lifecompared to other cellphones. BLU reports a 5 hours talk time and a 160 hours stand by time for this phone.
This phone also includes some cool features such as Bluetooth (3.0) and GPS Localization, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.
The BLU Studio 5.0 costs about $ 85, not a good offer for a device this level.
