GIGABYTE GSmart GX2 Review

GIGABYTE GSmart GX2 is a mid-end Android device, provisioned with an extremely fast Quad-Core processor ticking at 1.6 GHz, a 5" multi-touch display, and two cameras, a 13 mega-pixels back side camera and a 2 MP front camera.

Gigabyte made a great design job making this device as lightweight as 4.76 oz. This cellphone is quite a compact phone, taking into account that it has a 5 inches screen and it is only 5.77 inches long. Being just 0.34" thick,this cellphone is very thin and good-looking.

This cellphone has an astonishing 5-inches screen with a 1920 x 1080 (Full HD) resolution, giving this device a unique graphic quality. This screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and is multi-touch enabled.

The GIGABYTE GSmart GX2 is powered by a Qualcomm MSM8228 chip, backed up by a high speed Quad-Core CPU speeding at 1.6 gigahertz with a huge 2 GB RAM memory. Helping with graphic intensive games and apps, it also has an Adreno 305 graphic processing unit clocking at 450 megahertz. A nice point of this cellphone is the 8 GB quite big internal storage memory and a slot for external memory cards, allowing the user to store a couple hundred games and apps without any problem.

The GIGABYTE GSmart GX2 includes WiFi connectivity (but it can't provide it to other devices around, acting as a mobile hotspot), 4G HSPA+ connectivity, that is not so fast as LTE networks and the fastest 3G connection type, using HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This cellphone comes with two Micro SIM cards so it can to use two different phone numbers or carriers.

The GIGABYTE GSmart GX2 has two cameras, a 13 megapixels back side camera and a 2 megapixels front-facing camera. To complete the camera, it also includes auto-focus and flash.

This device features a great 2200 mAh Li-Ion replaceable battery that provides this phone a quite long battery life. This device has an aproximate stand by time of 350 hours and a talk time of 12 hs.

This cellphone also comes with some cool features like Bluetooth, GPS Navigation and FM Radio, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

The GIGABYTE GSmart GX2 is not cheap at all considering it is offerred for $ 249, and many similar phones are offerred way cheaper than that. If you want a gaming device or are looking for a cellphone to majorly use social networks and internet browsing, you will probably be very satisfied with it.
