HTC Radar is a bit outdated Windows Phone 7.5 Mango cellphone launched back in 2011, packed with a 3.8 inches multi touch capacitive display, a powerful 1 gigahertz processor, a 5 megapixels back facing camera and a 0.3 MP front-facing camera. Let's take a deeper sight of what this phone can do.
HTC equipped this phone with a fast CPU speeding at 1 gigahertz, packed into a Qualcomm Snapdragon S2 MSM8255 chip and 512 MB RAM. Graphic intensive games and apps generally eats a lot of CPU processing time, so this phone also has an extra 245 megahertz Adreno 205 graphic processing unit to take some work out of the processor. A good advantage of the HTC Radar is the 8 GB quite big internal storage memory and even though it doesn't have a slot for SD memory cards, it should be enough to install a couple hundred applications, although it might not be suitable if you are fan of the heaviest games currently available.
Although the HTC Radar is very slim it's not even close to being one of the thinnest cellphones nowadays, with a thickness of 0.43". HTC appears to have forgotten about weight optimization in this 4.83 ounces phone.
This phone has two cameras, a 5 MP back side camera and a 0.3 MP front side camera. It also shoots 1280x720 HD videos. To complete the camera, it also features a couple of interesting features: flash, auto-focus and geo tagging.
The HTC Radar has a very good 3.8" display with a 800 x 480 resolution, making everything look beautiful. Its display uses S-LCD capacitive technology, and has multi-touch detection.
The HTC Radar packs a 1520 mAh medium sized Li-Ion battery providing this cellphone with a below average battery life. HTC claims this device has a stand by time of 480 hours and a talk time of 10 hs.
This phone counts with wi-fi connectivity (but it can't provide it to other devices acting as a mobile hotspot) and the fastest 3G data connection, using HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. The HTC Radar works with a SIM card for GSM carriers.
The HTC Radar also features a couple of cool features as Bluetooth (provides communication with other devices, computers, and accessories) and GPS Navigation, and some sensors likeLight Sensor, Proximity Sensor and Accelerometer.
This cellphone is priced around 199 dollars, which is expensive for a cellphone this level. In case need a phone to mainly use social networks, this cellphone is probably a good choice for you.
