Huawei Ascend II Review

Huawei Ascend II is a fair quality device released some years ago, in 2011, packed with a powerful 600 megahertz CPU, a 5 MP back facing camera and a 3.5-inches capacitive display.

Huawei decided to sell this cellphone with a quite powerful processor speeding at 600 MHz and just 256 MB RAM.

This phone is a bit heavy for a cellphone this size, with a weight of 4.1 ounces. This device is just available in color black.

Huawei equipped this phone with a interesting 3.5" screen, and a 480 x 320 resolution, which makes everything look quite colorful and brightful. Its screen uses TFT capacitive technology, but it doesn't allow multi-touch gestures.

This phone has only a 5 mega-pixels back camera.

This phone comes with a 1400 mAh medium sized Li-Ion battery that can keep this device running for many hours, although you will probably need to charge it after some moderate to heavy usage. This phone has an aproximate stand by time of 300 hours and a talk time of 3.7 hours according to Huawei.

This device provides Wi-Fi capability (although it can't share it with other devices around, acting as a hotspot) and 3G connection type, over EV-DO A technologies. The Huawei Ascend II doesn't use a SIM card, because it is not a GSM enabled cellphone and it can connect to CDMA carriers.

This device also comes with a few interesting characteristics like Bluetooth (2.1, EDR) and GPS, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

This phone is really overpriced considering it is priced 110 dollars, and some similar phones cost much less than that.
