LAVA Iris alfa is a little bit outdated cellphone, which features a pretty large 5-inches touch-screen, a powerful 1200 MHz Quad-Core processor, and two cameras, a 5 mega-pixels back-facing camera and a 0.3 megapixels front-facing camera. Lava decided to equip this phone with a powerful Quad-Core CPU clocking at 1.2 GHz with 1 GB RAM. The LAVA Iris alfa comes with an 8 GB quite big internal storage and an SD memory slot, allowing you to store hundreds of apps and games without any trouble.
Lava is offering this phone in two colors: black and white. This cellphone has a wonderful design, with a thickness of just 0.36 inches. Although this phone is only 5.55" long, it is still able to fit a a 5" screen. Lava appears to have forgotten about weight optimization in this 5.5 ounces phone.
The LAVA Iris alfa has a good level 5-inches screen with a 854 x 480 resolution, which makes everything look quite nice. Its screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and can detect multi touch gestures.
This phone has two cameras, a 5 megapixels back camera and a 0.3 mega-pixels front camera. It also shoots videos up to 1920x1080 (Full HD). In addition, the camera features a couple of nice features: auto-focus, flash, HDR mode and geo tagging.
This cellphone comes with a 2200 mAh huge Li-Polymer battery, which isn't too much for a cellphone like this.
The LAVA Iris alfa provides wifi capability (but it can't be provided to other devices as a mobile hotspot) and 3G connection type, using UMTS and EDGE technologies. The LAVA Iris alfa uses two SIM cards so it is able to work with two different phone lines at the same time.
This cellphone also features a few cool characteristics such as Bluetooth and GPS, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.
The LAVA Iris alfa is not a very good choice considering it is sold for $ 249, while many similar phones cost much less than that.
