The Micromax Canvas Xpress is powered by an extremely powerful Quad-Core processor running at 1.3 GHz, included in the MediaTek MT6582V/X chip with only 1 GB of RAM which is a bit low for a phone of this level. An interesting aspect of this phone is its big 8 GB internal memory and an SD memory card expansion slot, enough to install hundreds of apps without worrying about space.
The Micromax Canvas Xpress is available in two color options, gray and blue. Apparently Micromax forgot about weight optimization in this 5.04 oz phone. This phone is a very compact cellphone, given that it presents a 4.5 inches display and it has just 5.21" long and 2.54 inches wide. Being just 0.34 inches thick,this cellphone is incredibly thin and good-looking.
Micromax designed this phone with a very good 4.5-inches screen, and a resolution of 854 x 480 , making everything look beautiful. Its screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and can detect multi touch gestures.
The Micromax Canvas Xpress features two cameras, a 5 MP back-facing camera and a 0.3 megapixels front-facing camera. The Micromax Canvas Xpress can also shoot videos in 1280x720 (HD). To complete the camera, it also includes a few interesting features like flash, geo tagging and auto-focus.
This cellphone has wi-fi connection (and it can be shared with other devices as a mobile hotspot), HSPA+ 4G internet connection, that is not so fast as LTE or LTE-A 4G networks and 3G fast internet connection, using HSDPA, HSUPA and EDGE technologies. This phone has two SIM cards so it's able to use 2 different phone numbers and even different carriers in the same cellphone.
The Micromax Canvas Xpress counts with a 1950 mAh mid capacity Li-Ion replaceable battery that provides this device a quite short battery lifecompared to other cellphones. This cellphone has a reported stand by time of 240 hs and a talk time of 7 hours.
The Micromax Canvas Xpress also comes with a couple nice characteristics as Bluetooth, GPS Geolocation and FM Radio, and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.
Micromax is selling this phone for $ 200, which is very expensive for a phone this level.
