Micromax Unite Review

(A092) Score: 49.1 / 100

Micromax Unite is a fair quality phone, including a high performance Quad-Core processor clocking at 1.2 gigahertz, a medium sized 4" multi-touch display, and 2 cameras, a 5 MP back facing camera and a 0.3 mega-pixels front-facing camera.

This cellphone is a compact device, taking into consideration it has a 4 inches screen and it is just 0 inches long. Micromax made this phone in many different color variations: black, gray, yellow, red and white.

This phone comes with an extremely fast 1200 megahertz Quad-Core CPU, bundled in the Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 MSM8212 system chip with only 1 GB of RAM which is a little disappointing for a cellphone this powerful. To help with graphic intensive apps and games, it also has a 400 MHz Adreno 302 graphics processing unit. A good point of this device is its big 8 GB internal storage memory and a slot for an external memory card, allowing the user to install a couple hundred applications and games without worrying about space.

Micromax packed this cellphone with a good looking 4-inches display, and a resolution of 800 x 480 , which makes everything look vivid. Its display uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and can detect multiple fingers at the same time.

This cellphone features two cameras, a 5 MP back camera and a 0.3 mega-pixels front-facing camera. It is capable of filming videos in HD 1280x720. To complete the camera, it also counts with some useful characteristics like flash, geo tagging and face detection shooting.

This cellphone counts with wifi capability (and it can share it with other devices acting as a wireless modem or router), HSPA+ 4G connectivity, that is not as fast as LTE-A or LTE 4G networks and fast 3G connectivity, over HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. The Micromax Unite uses 2 SIM cards to be able to to work with two different phone lines.

This phone also features a few interesting features like Bluetooth, GPS (Global Positioning System) and Radio, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

The Micromax Unite counts with a 1500 mAh medium Li-Ion removable battery that can keep this device running for many hours, although you will probably need to charge it after some moderate use. According to Micromax, this phone has an aproximate 5.5 hs talk time and a 140 hs stand by time.

This phone costs about $ 170, not cheap for comparing with other similar cellphones.
