Motorola ATRIX 2 Review

Motorola ATRIX 2 is a mid-end Android phone launched some years ago, in 2011, equipped with a medium 4.3-inches multi-touch screen, a Dual-Core CPU clocking at 1000 MHz, and 2 cameras, an 8 megapixels back side camera and a 0.3 mega-pixels front side camera. We will get a better understanding of this phone's features when we get into more details.

Motorola decided to build this cellphone using a great performance 1 GHz Dual-Core processor, packed into the TI OMAP4430 system chip and 1 GB of RAM memory. Handling graphic calculations, this cellphone also has a 304 MHz PowerVR SGX540 GPU. A nice feature of this phone is its big 8 GB internal memory and an external memory slot, allowing the user to store a couple hundred applications without running out of space.

Whereas the Motorola ATRIX 2 is very thin and comfortable it's not as thin as many other phones in the market, with a thickness of 0.4 inches. Motorola appears to have forgotten about weight optimization in this 5.18 ounces cellphone.

This phone is equipped with two cameras, an 8 MP back camera and a 0.3 mega-pixels front side camera. This phone also captures videos up to 1920x1080 (Full HD) at 30 frames per second. This camera also counts with a couple of nice features: flash, auto-focus and geo tagging.

Motorola equipped this cellphone with a interesting 4.3" display, and a resolution of 960 x 540 , providing this phone with a very good graphic quality.

This cellphone packs a medium 1785 mAh Li-Ion battery providing this phone with a poor battery duration. Motorola says this cellphone has a stand by time of 382 hs and a talk time of 8.5 hs.

This device has WiFi connectivity (but it can't be provided to other devices acting as a wireless modem), 4G HSPA+ data connection, that is not so fast as LTE networks and 3G fast data connection, over HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. The Motorola ATRIX 2 works with a SIM card for GSM services.

The Motorola ATRIX 2 also includes a few useful features as Bluetooth (2.1, EDR), GPS Navigation and Radio, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

This cellphone is being sold for around 299 dollars, high for this kind of device. If you will use this cellphone mostly for internet broswing and social networks or want it to play games, this phone is definitely a great choice for you.
